• Question: Why do you think that humans have evolved and adapted faster than baboons and created language, technology? And why haven't baboons discovered technology or schools?

Good question! It’s not so much that we adapted faster as much as we evolved under different pressures from the environment. We are all adapted to the environments we live in – I know from experience that humans would not survive for long living in baboon habitats the way they do!

Generally, human brains have evolved around three times faster than other species, and there are a lot of theories about why this happened. They include pressures from living in big social groups, learning language, and walking on two legs instead of four. The answer is no one knows for sure, the more people research this the more we will find out. My favourite kind of science 🙂
