I’ve always been really interested in why humans behave the way we do. When I first started university I studied the brain to try to understand this, and later got into studying the behaviour of other primates as a way of understanding where humans came from. For me, language is a great example of something that is really human and separates us from other animals, but at the same time, animals do have some form of language, so it’s really interesting to look at what’s the same and what isn’t 🙂

Did you know that some monkeys have a sound that means ‘eagle’ and a sound that means ‘leopard’? I love discoveries like that!
