Question: Have you ever named a baboon baby

Sadly no, not yet! Our field assistants usually name the baby baboons, each year the names have to begin with the same letter in alphabetical order as it helps to keep track of when they were born, so the last year I was there we had Ellie, Emma, Eric, Eto’o and Eggi, and before that Doris, Dimi, Debbie, Dandy and Daji. It’s a nice perk of the job that when your letter comes around, there will usually be a baboon named after you 🙂 But I have a long time to wait before we get around to ‘s’…
