When you study birds it is hard to stay in just one place (though it is possible depending on which species you study). Regularly I study birds in Wales, in the Shetlands, in the Azores, in the south of Portugal and will soon start a project in Mauritius. I also have collaborators that send me samples from other places, such as France, EUA and the Antarctica, though I don’t personally go there. I enjoy travelling but I enjoy it the most because I do it with a purpose, I hardly ever travel to go on holidays (except to go to Portugal to visit my family).
