      Gorillas share a lot of the same genes as humans, even though we split from them 10 million years ago! Actually a very recent study from last year showed that 15% of gorilla genes are more similar to humans than chimps. This is the kind of question that is hard to answer because our understanding of genes and similarity is still changing all the time, a great subject to study if you’re interested in it, there are plenty of new discoveries to be made 😀
