This is a difficult one! There are so many completely different species of birds that I would find it hard to say that there is a common behaviour pattern. Some birds fly, some swim, some just walk/run; some are in bands, some in small groups and some are lonely; some have partners for life, some change every few minutes; in some species both sexes incubate eggs and care for the youngsters, others is only the female and others is the male; some are aggressive and some aren’t; some travel long distances (migrate) and some don’t… You’re really making me thing hard here… They all lay eggs and usually the males are the ones who attract females by singing or displaying (showing off) but I think that’s about all you get in terms of common behaviour. I’ll let you know if I think of something else!
