• Question: who would you say is the best scientist and why?

      Again I’m biased because of my work, but I’d go for Charles Darwin. He is a great example of how to use the scientific method, he had a theory and went out and collected evidence to test it. In his time, that was a lot harder than it is now! If I had to sail on a ship for weeks to reach my field site, I might be less keen…

      I agree with Suzanne, Charles Darwin is also my personal hero. His ideas were really clever and he knew that publishing them could bring him some trouble – people weren’t really ready to accept we come from apes!
