I started my research on animals when I was in my last year at university, about 13 years ago! I still remember well the feeling when I went to the field for the first time, I was so happy!!

I started studying animals in my third year of university, so 7 years ago! It’s always been monkeys for me, macaques at Longleat Safari Park first, then diana monkeys and red ruffed lemurs at Paignton Zoo, and eventually baboons in the wild for the last 4 years!

Well since I was little I was interested in them…for example, I remember how horrified my mum was when I decided to breed butterflies in the kitchen when I was 12! (I kept the caterpillars on some pot plants and watched them become pupae and set the butterflies free when they hatched). As a job, I’ve been an academic for 6 years.
