Robots already live with us — washing machines and thermostats and toasters are or can be robots, depending on how they are built. A robot is something that senses the world & then chooses an action as a result of that. Actually, smart phones are also robots. So we already have robots living with us, and we keep building better ones.
I live abroad! I was born in America! But yes, I go study in lots of places, I have studied monkeys in France and learned about parakeets and how they “talk” to each other in Denmark and learned about social behaviour in Hungary and evolution in Switzerland and Austria. I’ve also learned about robots in Korea and Switzerland and America. It’s important to keep learning, because science moves very quickly since so many people work on it. In fact, right now I am going to Spain, where I will work with one of my collaborators on understanding human emotions from looking how they talk about them on Twitter. I’m in the airport right now!
