I really like hiking and camping. I used to do lots of rock climbing – but now I live in Oxford, I’m a bit far from any cliffs! In the evenings, I often watch TV or play computer games (we’ve got an XBox). At weekends, I tend to hang out with friends.
I love reading, it has always been one of my favourite hobbies and the one I do every free minute I have. I also absolutely love dancing but I usually do it alone at home. I like cinema, theatre and opera so I go when I can afford it. I used to be on a drama group but the shows weren’t very good so I quit it, but I would enjoy doing it again. I used to play voleyball and it is still my favourite sport, though I don’t do it very often these days. When the weather isn’t so bad, I go camping or on walks with my husband, the kids and the dog. I guess I just gave you the complete list of my hobbies so you might be wondering if I still have any time for science at all, believe me, I do and it still takes me most of my time!
Lots! Science is hard work, so when I have time off I’d do anything not sciencey! I like sports, and am lucky to live in London where there are a lot of great places to visit, at the moment Wimbledon is on, so it’s a great distraction 🙂
